Doubt you see short covering of any meaning in front of friday employment
The most heavily shorted sectors (financials, homebuilders, retail stocks) close either well off their lows or in the green on above average volume. What on earth does this have to do with Friday's NFP?
The only point I tried to make is that if this "feels" like anything then this is a bit of short covering rather than panic capitulation followed by a "big" reversal.
let's see if we can follow through a bit to take us to the 20 day exp ma and hopefully close above it...
