It makes one wonder exactly what laws were purportedly broken to warrant an FBI investigation.
The FBI is/are acting as goons to protect Biden.
O'keefe put the Biden daughter in a difficult position because he returned it, knowing that he would find out either upfront or backchannel whether she accepted it or acknowledged that it was hers. Much like the Hunter laptop scenario. But, and again much like the laptop scenario, he has a copy of it which he maintains was legally obtained even if someone else took it or acquired it. When I say "he has a copy" I am of course saying "I presume he made a copy." And so do the FBI agents working as Joe's goons. They raided Okeefe's place to look for any hard or digital copies. They would have gotten the warrants by alleging that he actually stole it- versus acquiring it second-hand. Then they do the search and destroy or deep-sixing mission and if Okeefe successfully shows that he got it second hand later, they just say "okay, my bad." But they got to do the search.
The elephant in the room though is: The FBI would have talked to the biden daughter. Does anyone think the fbi goons would be so cranked up if she said: "Frig, I don't care, it is not my diary, I am not missing one and never have." Not to forget y'all: "It was not hunter's laptop" all while he had his attorney send a letter to the shop owner demanding it back. giggle.
And of course, even if Okeefe stole it, that is a state crime. The FBI just looks way too hyperventilated over this for some reason. The obvious reason being a distinct possibility.
This is risky business for Joe and the FBI too because they can concoct some kind of charge against O'Keefe but he gets to defend himself and do a sizeable amount of discovery and cross examination along the way, and that is not exactly what Camp Biden wants. As I said, I think they are just doing a falsely predicated raid to get any copies of the diary or - as likely- to get other material on other cases that Okeefe is working on that might make DC squirm. That's the FBI of J Edgar Hoover that Jim Comey brought back and Merrick Garland is keeping alive. Christopher Wray is just some potted plant. A complete waste.
