I mean, it's clear as day the guy's an opportunistic, blatant, hypocrite liar. He didn't care to hire illegals when it helped his pocket book. He didn't care using e-verify which is effective 98% of the time.
He only cared to go after illegals when it suited him politically, and even 2 yrs. into his presidency, when his wife has used chain migration, when he's exploited the visa program prioritizing gardeners to his properties, he's only bothered giving these people the boot because he was exposed by the media.
I guess I at least expect consistency with the hate mongering. Show that you stand for something, no matter how fucked up it is.

Trump Organization to Use E-Verify to Prevent Hiring Undocumented Immigrants
You can’t on one hand complain that all the employees that Trump let go were long term employees for many years (before eVerify was put in place) and then complain on the other hand that Trump did not use eVerify when hiring.
Except e-verify has been in place for years (1996 pilot, 2007 available to everyone) and Trump's on record saying he's been using it for a while.
Most companies did not start using eVerify until 2004 when it was made widely available & accessible.
Those making the statement that eVerify was available in 1996 need to think if the modern Internet was deployed to most employers in 1996.
So if you have a bunch of Hispanics with broken English, you don't do a sweep once e-verify is available? C'mon now

Purge of undocumented workers by the president’s company spreads to at least 5 Trump golf courses
The firings were a result of an internal audit by the Trump Organization after a New York Times article in December identified undocumented housekeepers at the Trump golf course in Bedminster.
Former employees say the number of undocumented workers employed at these courses is likely larger than the firings reflect, because labor is seasonal at many golf courses. Maintenance and other employees often leave their jobs in late fall and return when the courses reopen in the spring, leaving only a fraction of employees to work through the winter.
Some seasonal employees contacted by The Post who weren’t technically fired said they expected they would not be rehired in the spring.
The fired employees interviewed by The Post were from Latin America.
They worked in food service, maintenance, housekeeping and other jobs at the golf courses. Many said they had held these jobs for years and that the Trump Organization previously had paid little attention to their immigration status.
The workers interviewed said they got their jobs by presenting false Social Security and green cards. Many said their supervisors were aware the documents were fraudulent.
