Federal Reserve Is A Private Corporation

Quote from Haroki:

The ridiculous part of hammering on the Fed is that it can be rejected on a moments notice by Congress if they wanted to.
Oh you dear little doe eyed Bambi.. as if the real powers in the world.. ie: the richest sons of bitches in the world (and we are talking richer than some countries) would allow that, they can pay off, intimidate even assassinate to maintain the right to issue money and control a country

Quote from DrEvil:

What I asked for was advantages of the current system of the government borrowing money from a private bank (the fed ... which creates the money of thin air btw) ??

If you take a look back at history, when the King needed additional revenue, taxing his subjects was often not an option - they would revolt.

Now sometimes the King (gov) directly printed money causing massive inflation but then it was patently obvious it was the King who was guilty of fiscal irresponsibility.

So you have today's Fed Reserve which claims to be public, therefore anything the Fed does is 'supposed' to be for the public's best interest. The gov uses the Fed as a 'cloak' to get the money it needs.

Now ever since WWII the Fed has not DIRECTLY purchased Treasuries from gov. As anyone knows, new T-bills in the Treasury auctions are bought up by who? Not the Fed, but the banks. How did the banks get all that money to buy up the T-bills?

Fed conducts 'open market operations' by printing money out of thin air, using it to buy up T-bills that existing banks hold. So banks converted T-bills into cash (reserves increased), then due to the magic of fractional reserve banking, banks can now buy up to 5x the T-bills in the auction.

There are lots of people giving advatages of a treasury system where government creates it's own money and avoids the debt issue and paves the way for less or no income tax.

What I asked for was advantages of the current system of the government borrowing money from a private bank (the fed ... which creates the money of thin air btw) ??
Yeah good luck with that :p

Well, it looks as if the bigger picture is lost on you.

Try to think beyond what you've watched on youtube for a moment here and follow the bouncing ball.

Ok, so in your views, Congress is in cahoots with the "international bankers". So if there WAS a political groundswell against the Fed, what would prevent the Congress from doing nothing more than paying lip service to their voters and after the Fed is repealed, enacting monetary policy that, in another way, would allow the "international bankers" to remain in control of our country?

Far more difficult to accomplish, hence the continuous efforts of the international bankers to set up a privately owned central bank

Much easier to control a select few Fed reps than all those congressmen, some of who may be men of goodwill and oppose them.. and far less visible

Your greatest and most revered leaders in history including those champions of democracy, the founding fathers warned of a privately owned bank.. and you are calling their fears the equivalent of some ridiculous alien abduction conspiracy.. shame on you.. they control booms and busts to steal homes, land and business's for a few cents in the dollar

So who's to say that if Congress bowed to pressure about the Fed, that they wouldn't just go ahead and make the same regulations that benefit bankers anyways, using our own "greenbacks".

And besides, do you REALLY want Congress to be making fiscal policy? They're the ones that spent us into debt in the first place......

The politicians are in on the scam.

Exactly.

That's my point.

The whole Fed argument is nothing but a rallying point to focus the energies of the sheep to believe that they are the problem.

The problem lies in Congesss' laps....

In that case - the Government has unchecked borrowing and spending powers under a Fed money system. Basically, a blank check to finance their reelection campaign.

Private lenders wouldn't that allow type of recklessness. Politicians would be restrained by the will of the people since their pecuniary powers to print money and buy votes wouldn't exist. No Fun!

All that free money goes to the Banking Powers and Politicians. The Polticians, in turn, channel it to Special Interests via BS Wars, subsidies, welfare, and dole outs to buy and keep their office.

Its a symbiotic relationship. Two gigantic parasites sucking the cream off the public to ensure their own existence.

Does anyone know what type of political system it is called when private corporations and the government collude for each others best interests??? corporate fascism!
