Indeed. The Elite are neither stupid or stuck in their ways.
What appears as reckless mismanagement or bureaucratic ineptitude is only intended to appear that way for public consumption.
Plausible deniability is one of the favorite tactics used by the Elite to cram their agenda through.
They don't mind being called stupid or "Dumb" if that's what it takes for the masses to pacify themselves into submission. They know who the real dummies are and have prepared accordingly.

If your assets are $600K or less and you're able to make a life outside the USA, leaving the country is probably the safest alternative.
Anywhere rural, in a sparsely populated Country, who's economy is largely agrarian or resource-based. Buy a farm and stock it. Just some ideas. I doubt I'll leave my family.
Well, Jimmy Rogers went to Singapore. If I were in such a position, I'd look into Canada, Australia, New Zealand.... a friend of mine has done exactly this and emigrated to Ireland.. Costa Rica? Leaving the US and citizenship is not a no-brainer. Most places are equally bad or worse, so choose carefully.
If I had no family and a modest net worth, I'd already be gone... Taiwan was waaayyy charming before it became so developed and rich. I often think it might have been a great adventure for me to have gone back there after military service.

As a result the past 60+ years we have been living in a bubble. Not a tech, real estate, bull market type bubble...but a reality bubble.

Americans need to get back to the simple core CONSERVATIVE VALUES (read what I said, no mention of a political party for a reason) which built this country.
In other words, work, save, preferably for yourself and spend only on what you need and that 62 inch plasma and the 28 inch deep dish rims for you '89 Bronco that you absolutely must have.
People still refuse to recognize THAT THE HOUSING BUBBLE IS DUE TO IDIOTS WHO KNEW THEY COULDN'T AFFORD A HOME BUYING ONE ANYWAY...and...IDIOTS WHO HAD SOME MONEY TRYING TO FLIP HOUSES ON THE SIDE SO THEY WOULD HAVE SOME WATER COOLER CHAT ON MONDAYS!!!!
