Fed appeals court panel says most Obamacare subsidies illegal

You're wrong once again.

The uninsured continue to flock to the ER. Medicaid patients continue to do so. And so do illegals.

Then the uninsured need to apply for coverage.

Medicaid patients continue to do so because, as I said, it takes so long to see a doctor.

As for illegals, there's that immigration issue again. Perhaps you could persuade your leaders to fix it.

What's wrong with turning people back at the border? What about Obama stating STRONGLY the those from Central America and their leaders that any, and all people trying to enter the US illegally will be sent back home before they set foot in our country? Instead the wimpy leader wants $3.7 billion to hire lawyers for the illegals and other nonsensical stuff (housing them, building facilities, etc.). Great solution .... let's waste even more $$$$.

House GOP’s border conundrum: Will new leadership be able to pass a bill?

There’s no question that the luckiest Republican in Washington right now is outgoing House majority leader Eric Cantor.

While Cantor is still, technically, majority leader through July 31, he’s more or less already checked out from the impossible day-to-day duties of corralling the House Republican conference. Negotiating the proper seven-figure lobbying and/or finance gig is priority #1 for him right now. Being historically humiliated by his own constituents was the best thing that ever happened to him!

Meanwhile, his successor, Rep. Kevin McCarthy, and the new majority whip, Rep. Steve Scalise — as well as the long-suffering Speaker John Boehner, of course — have one of those classic “situations” to deal with. more . . .

The GOP’s 20-Year War on Health Care

Stop the presses: John Boehner admitted Thursday that the Republican Party’s long-awaited alternative to Obamacare needs a little more time in the oven. “You know, the discussions about Obamacare and what the replacement bill would look like continue. We’re trying to build consensus around one plan,” the Speaker told Hill reporters. “Not there yet.”

As if you even needed me to tell you, rest assured: It could be six months from now, a year from now, five years from now, or the day Bibi Netanyahu and Khaled Mashal share a Nobel Peace Prize—they aren’t going to have a plan. Oh, they might have a “plan.” They had a “plan” last year, or at least Oklahoma Sen. Tom Coburn and two others did. For about two days, they were really tooting its horn. Then it dawned on people that paying for it would involve a hefty middle-class tax increase, on higher-end insurance plans. You may have noticed since then that the Coburn “plan” has not exactly become a leading Republican talking point. more . . .

If they opposed obamacare for 100 years that would be enough.
the reality is the insurance companies wont let the dems or the establishment Rs take away their profit. so nothing was better than obamacare.

the dems should have gone with single payer, they had the votes but Obama Reid and Pelosi did not want to alienate their paymasters.

I agree that they should have gone with single payer, but they didn't have the votes. What they had was Baucus.

they passed obamacare on a party vote...
the democrats had the votes.
They passed obamacare without one Republican therefore they could have passed single payer or anything else.

I suggest a hybrid like school choice which can also be supplemented by the individual.
The dems could have done that if they had not been whores.

They passed it because of the concessions they made.

This is not ancient history. There must be a precis somewhere on Google.

Another example of why we need someone other than Boehner as Speaker.

First of all, it's not his job to come up with a replacement for obamacare. Second, the last thing we need is another top-down omnibus plan. Third, the most effective way to address areas of concern is to pass specific bills addressing only those areas, eg portability of plans, preexisting conditions, etc.
