The real lunatics are those who sit in an armchair hallucinating about what iffing scenes of disasters.

Those who are extremely depressed and overwhelmed with grief at minor wrinkles of life and go into a catatonic state simply staring into the void. They cannot accept the fact if recession is here , we are going to live through it, and it can't hurt us.

Its this underestimation of ones ability to rise up to the occasion that brings in a state of helplessness, doom and gloom and unending misery.

A Psychiatric evaluation is an absolute must in such cases. Go see a doctor before you trade.

IF they have not done away with that uptick rule, we wouldn't be experiencing this kind of volatility and this level of shorting activity that throws the markets into a chaotic states most of the time/

Sentiment is so negative that we may as well " invent a bear market" killing all the stocks to zero, go home and shave our public hairs.
 
Day77, what was the incentive to remove the uptick rule last July? Also, the (price) of stock or other insturments is not made by traders alone.
 
day, if you are so sure we are not in a recession/bear mkt, why aren't you long to the gills? You should be laughing and giggling at all the "bad news" coming out. My guess, you are an odd lot piker who got his rectum handed to him in January, and your "bankroll" is kaput. The QQQQ is still in a bear market 7 years later. The spu and dow made new highs, but they are a distant memory are they not? And you keep harping on shorting, but don't these shorts have to be bought back at some point? My guess again, that would be the smart money that starts the vicious rallies, covering and going nominally long until we bump up against resistance. At which point we make a lower low, followed by a lower high. It does not take a genious to figure out this has been goung on for awhile now. You just keep drinking that tasty kool-aid brother Cramer wants you to.

IF this a RECESSION and a BEAR MARKET, why donot you accept it and stop hanging you damned head on your chest? Move on.
Life is too short to sit in an armchair, and keep play Monday morning quarter back with a bee up one'ass and keep feeling depressed.

Stop chewing that negative puke you have been scooping on the Internet. I just saw few articles posied to tumble the markets on Mondays opening bell and if you would rather like to short an oversold market go burn your account, cause with or without you market is moving higher.

Cowards will always stand on the sidelines and pee in each others palms.
