FBI arrests would-be Capitol bomber outside D.C.

Quote from Trader666:

What are you trying to say? That it's all a conspiracy to keep us in a state of "permawar?" That the problems with radical Islam in the UK, France, Germany and the Netherlands that I gave you links to don't really exist? What about these (below)? AIPAC propaganda? :p

Yes Al Qaeda is a real terrorist group that operates in many countries. And we (in particular, our CIA) helped create them in the 80s back when they were the mujahedeen fighting the Soviets. Bin Laden was a CIA asset at the time. They are just a particularly alarming example of the rule that you should be careful what you wish for in foreign policy.

Here are two countries that played no role in the creation of Al Qaeda: Iraq and Iran.

Of course you and your "blame America" ilk claim that but there's a whole other side that you conveniently ignore:

There's a huge problem with radical Islam, world-wide, and it's not because of the United States.

You're missing the point.
Let's start with this question: what vital interest of the US did it serve to get involved in Afghanistan?

Opium, so I am told.

It's quoting more than government sources. It's even quoting al-Quaeda sources. How about reading the whole thing?
Quote from RCG Trader:

Just to get this on the record, I am reading that you are quoting government sources, and you believe these sources.

Is that correct?

No, you're missing the point. Start at the OP and try again.
