Facebook is breaking down once again.. Interesting to see Twitter holding and this tanking. The channel is clearly downward here.

Facebook Strategy

Facebook is investing strongly in video and disappearing "stories" rather than its news feed, as the social network reaches saturation point in the U.S. and Europe, where advertising is most lucrative. Having set low expectations for Q3 and Q4 earlier this year, Facebook missed analyst estimates on revenue and user numbers. Still, investors seemed OK with its 33% jump in Q3 revenue and year-on-year user growth of 10%—shares were up 3.1% in extended trading. Bloomberg
 
Palmer Luckey

When Facebook got rid of Oculus Rift designer Palmer Luckey, the reason was never made clear. Mark Zuckerberg denied it had anything to do with politics. But a new Wall Street Journal piece claims it was because of Luckey's support for Donald Trump in his race against Hillary Clinton. The article also alleges that Zuckerberg pressured Luckey to voice support for libertarian candidate Gary Johnson. WSJ

Facebook Probe

British lawmakers have taken the unusual step of seizing Facebook documents that they believe will aid them in their Cambridge Analytica enquiry. A U.S. businessman whose company, Six4Three, is suing the social network in that country entered the U.K. with documents he had won in that suit, only to have Parliamentary officials force him to turn them over. The documents apparently detail how Facebook deals with user data. Fortune
