haha yeah I'm now down 8% on my 800$ because of that little reversal.
God these 3x ETFs are incredible, so volatile...look at some of those candles in the last 5 minutes. Unreal.
I almost bought in when it started flying, by the time I got there it was already at 8.50....not a great price to buy.
However, it turned around again. Keeping sharp eye on it though, its those crazy movements that make me jump too fast. its around 8.40 at the time of this post.

Yeah, they're great for the day trader. FAS/FAZ are the only ones I even bother with. Incredible volatility.
Heck, it's even good for someone with < $25k in their account and can't day trade.
It's fairly easy to find 2% moves just about any day you choose to watch.
So if you averaged 2%/trade x 20/month that's 70% compunded.
ETA: Oops, that's 70% if you use 1.5 x margin
a lot of banks require 100% margin maintenance on the 3x etfs. My bank does, so my leverage is 1:1, but with 3x leverage its like 3:1 on a normal stock.
I am having a hard time pulling the trigger on FAZ right now. It seems to be hovering around a high point, which is obviously the worst time to buy, I am not convinced we are at bottom at the moment. Could be, but not sure.
