this is not exactly rock and roll (and it has some brokeback mountain overtones) but this solo is bitchin:

Uli, Schenker, etc. Great stuff Pekelo.Quote from Pekelo:
Here is interesting classical piece, Vivaldi, by Uli Roth, who gave us Tokyo Tapes with Scorpions. Thanks Uli, I love that double record!!!
The reason I am showing this because he has a 32 frets specially made guitar, you don't see that everyday:

By the way Uli wrote 4 classical pieces in the 90s....
That was excellent. Unique as well.Quote from toduar:

Rik and Steve are great. No argument there!Quote from hapaboy:
What are all you axe meisters' thoughts on acoustic players?
I'm particularly fond of Rik Emmett and Steve Howe.
Emmett's "Midsummer's Daydream" & "Fantasy Serenade" are, IMO, amazing pieces of work, and Howe's "Mood for a Day" is just classic!
And of course, Segovia. Just incredible...
That'll make me break out the acoustic for a change... sans nail polish!Quote from Pekelo:
I love all kind of GOOD music be it accoustic or electirc.
Let's mention another player Nuno Bettencourt of Extreme fame.
Here he is playing an accoustic piece called Midnight Express:

And here it is a long electric solo:
