Lie brals would rather steal money from a charity to get their message out and then have the govt pick your pocket by threat of violence or imprisonment to support all of their hairbrained nonsense.

Conservatives would rather the govt stay out of the charity from the end of gun barrel and let individuals decide how when and where to do the work of charities they support.
Notice that nothing in this concept prevents lie-brals from contributing charitable contributions to causes which they champion.
What they vociferously object to is your freedom to choose and think they have the right, nay obligation to seize your earnings.

The potential problem stems from the concentration of media ownership. Possibly one could not "earn" listeners in a monopoly environment. I'm using the qualifiers because this is an issue I have not read about in quite a while. So I'm assuming that the concentration I first learned about has not reversed course in the intervening years.

What he's really complaining about is that no one will listen to him unless the govt steps in and forces it, through the Fairness Doctrine. The FD may have had a place back in the day. But now you have all manner of competition....teevee, radio (both satellite and terrestrial), cable, internet....The FD would be used to stifle, not expand discussion.

Btw, Rush doesn't "own" 600 stations. In fact he doesn't own any

I watch the Ed Show on MSNBC everyday. The guy has some passion, but he is dumb as box of rocks. Sometimes I laugh till my sides hurt.
