Palin Camp Rips Limbaugh, Hits His âRetardâ Comment As âCrude And Demeaningâ
Sarah Palin versus Rush Limbaugh!
Palin believes Limbaughâs repeated use of the word âretardâ yesterday was âcrude and demeaning,â her spokesperson emails.
In the wake of Palinâs demand that Rahm Emanuel be fired for saying the liberal activist strategy on health care was âfâking retarded,â a bunch of people have been asking how sheâd react to Limbaughâs tirade on the air yesterday.
âOur political correct society is acting like some giant insultâs taken place by calling a bunch of people who are retards, retards,â Rush said, adding that Rahmâs meeting yesterday with advocates for the mentally handicapped was a âretard summit at the White House.â
I asked Palin spokesperson Meghan Stapleton for comment on Rushâs rant, and she emailed me this:
âGovernor Palin believes crude and demeaning name calling at the expense of others is disrespectful.â
It hardly has the passion of her response to Rahm, and thereâs no call for him to step down. But given Rushâs stature among conservatives, itâs pretty interesting that she went this far, denouncing his on-air rant as âcrude and demeaning name-calling.â
