I gotta agree. For my entire life we have been stationed all over the world, that is not the function of our military. Sovereign nations need to defend themselves. That doesn't mean we can't help our allies in a conflict but this is really half-ass imperialism. We provide their protection at our expense, and get NOTHING in return. At least true imperial powers used to tax and help themselves to the resources of their conquered territories/nations.

As for nuclear proliferation, it is pretty much a given that it is going to happen no matter what. That we don't want nations arming themselves with nukes, isn't really our call to make. However, an antagonistic, irresponsible ruler like Ahmedinijad (<-- lol) or this chubby fuck in NK are gonna get themselves and their people melted one day. I do think that to be armed with nukes and threatening destruction of other nations that happen to be our allies is a good enough reason for war. And I'm not talking this nation building bullshit, but real kill 'em all type war. No boots on the ground, just round the clock bombing until their offensive capabilities no longer exist, and neither does their leadership. That's it.

And that's why we shouldn't be playing world police. Americans here at home, can say what we want, but we really don't give a shit what's going on 'over there'. it just isn't the same as WWII, no one here is going to be effected by a war between north and south korea. But SK is our ally and if we bail on them now, they're fucked, so we've put ourselves in a really bad position. In other places we are stationed and don't have this problem, we should leave now, while it doesn't matter.

There are military guys who see themselves and their own family as the next NK dynasty - and more deserving of it too.

Fat Boy is doing what the military tells him to do. As "advisors", of course. :D

And if he doesn't, he is to be roasted on a spit. And everyone knows from looking at them they could all use a decent meal... :D
