Yes, I use eSignal for charting. But problem is, with IB I was never able to get anyone on the phone quickly. With Open E Cry, my broker answers the phone on the 2nd ring. If that fails, I can call the clearing company (Rand Financial), which has a 24-hr trading desk and have them liquidate my position.Quote from pspr:
Hey Fast..,
Don't you use another quote service besides you broker?
I use esignal and keep working on my method in my 3rd party charting program. If IB goes down, any stops I have on the ES are stop/limit (far away limit) so they are on the Globex computer not IB. Then I can see the market on my esignal feed without worry. If IB doesn't come back for a while I can just phone in a liquidation and cancel on the stop/limit if need be.a
LOL! Fast, you're much more of a PRO than me. You have the coolest setup, the coolest monitor, UPS everywhere and everything... WOW!Quote from Fast_Trader:
Oh man, Scientist, you worry me sometimes. You sure you're a PRO? No UPS for your router?? C'mon man! My entire setup is UPS-backed, even the router and cable modem
Needless to say, I'm happy with my platform and absolutely love the service from Open E Cry! The name alone is way cooler than IB

Yep... That's basically the same thing I just explained to Fast. Only that Globex doesn't take native stop-markets, while DAX does. But who cares, the principle is the same - and the safest you can get.Quote from pspr:
