Unilaterally invading another country under false pretenses to sieze their land, loot their wealth, and perform genocide is very different than dealing with fascist leaders which pose a threat to world peace via sanctions, etc.

Let us use a very good example why a country's sovereignty matters. Switzerland is in Europe yet, is not part of the European Union. It is also, one of the richest countries in Europe. Its voters matter and politicians go with how their voters vote in important issues. The foreign minister of Switzerland said they do not need the European Union because they can pursue fair bilateral trade with all countries that wish to trade with them. Seems pretty similar to President Donald Trump's America First policies yet, he has been demonized by extreme liberal socialists, communists and islamists at every turn for seeking to protect the interests of all Americans? UK voters chose Brexit because they see how other countries were taking over their businesses including, fishing and robbing their own citizens of their livelihood. Watch Brexit the Movie for the truth. Do not watch the ones created by Hollywood because they distorted what Brexit was really about. The one that showed the Britons losing jobs and getting very small quotas to fish in UK waters. They had real life interviews with the actual Britons adversely, affected by being a member of the European Union.
