Farmer bail out (12 billion) announced

That’s another aspect trump isn’t considering. Business relationships are built on sustainability. The more unstable he is the less likely the people affected by these tariffs are going to be able to rebuild their relations with their overseas partners.

it takes years to recover. a Chinese food supplier is now working with a Russian company. he's not going to just switch overnight. he's made commitment to the Russian and if the Russian delivers, he may never go back to his American supplier unless he is forced to.

That being said, I am all for a trade war with China. It will take a generation, but it will make America (the nation stronger) even if it hurts Americans (the people) for a while.

What do soybean farmers have in common with Stormy Daniels?

They're being paid to keep quiet after getting screwed by Trump.

I would be interested in the revenue generated from the tariffs and how it measures up to the subsidies that will be paid out.

More!

The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced details Monday of its "temporary relief" plan to help farmers who have been hit hard by retaliatory tariffs.

The details: The department will make up to $4.7 billion available to help offset the costs of the trade war. U.S. soybean farmers are expected to receive the bulk of the payments at $3.6 billion.
