I thought the US never actually carried out giving NK the nuclear reactors, that's one of the reasons why they are so pissed off. They felt like they got screwed over with promises.

FYI

If anyone has an interest the latest issue of FOREIGN AFFAIRS (Bimonthly Sep/Oct 06 issue) has a very good article on nukes with special emphasis on N. Korea and Iran.
 
I really dont see what difference it makes in the big picture (athough market wise, it's negative)

lotsa countries in the world I'd rather not have nukes, have been for over 40 years

korea is just one more, and this is a test of something we already knew they had

they know what would happen if they used it

but they just want to shake down the superpowers for what they can get

Yeah tell me, who did provide NK with Nuke Tech? As far as I know it was Pakistan or China. The US had committed to providing reactors or support for building them but never did anything about it.

I don't like the prez so I'm not cheering, seriously, ya just don't get it do you?

Beforehand, they said they were going to do it. Afterwards, they said they did it. And there's a seismology site on Drudge that shows an earthquake right where the test was supposed to be.

He ought to start drinking again and just stay down there in Texas where he's needed.

Noticed I can't borrow any ETFs on IB today -- spy, iwm, dia, etc. Nikkei reopens tonight.
