FARK!!! North Korea Just Tested the Bomb

Quote from Willleung:

How come the democratic system in the US allow this? American who didn't want the way, didn't try hard enough?

You know Willeung ... I dont know.

First off alot of people feel Bush stole the presidency - Then it seems alot of people belived Bush just because he is the president. Also alot of politicians stuck up for the war in iraq (even thou they didnt believe in it - probably because it was politcally correct).

I remember when the build up for the war was going on (I wasnt working so I was watching CNN etc alot) ...

And every other day I saw Bush, Powell, or Rumsfield trying to get Nato or other's support for the war. I'm just an average joe and what I saw was 'trumped' up conjectures to go to war with iraq. WMD were unconfirmed although Bush's crew sure tried to make it sound like they were there and ready to be used on american soil.

When I think about the billions of dollars that is going to the war effect and about all the lives that are being lost or wrecked because of husbands and wives and mothers and fathers dying over there ... I am saddened.

So what did we accomplish by going to war with iraq?
We made iran want to pusue nuclear technology even more. We made NK want to produce nukes even more. And we made more terrorists.
Oh I guess we made a few companies rich.

if you don't support them then they label you non-patriotic and a terrorist.
if you question their motives then they label you a conspiracy theorist.
if you criticize them then they screw you over, replace you and/or ruin your career (e.g., valerie plume, colin powell, congressman who said maybe the the U.S. should rethink it's policy of always supporting Israel)

Crossput,

I agree with you.

Incidents happened over the last few years made me dislike politics even more.

How can a few people's ideal turn into things (e.g. war) that harm so many people? (americans, iraqis)

They have no right.

I examine daily currency exchange rate charts such as AUDUSD, EURUSD, JPYUSD, GBPUSD and futures daily price charts of gold, US Tbond, US Dollar Index, copper, crude oil. The longer term trends say about three to 12 months duration appear unchanged. I see some short term price changes. South Korean, Japanese and UK stock market indices show values about in the middle of the trading range for the year.

I suspect traders know North Korea makes nuclear weapons and this test explosion news is not surprising.

Clinton Deal Gave N. Korea 100-Nuke-Per-Year Capacity

Newsmax October 19 2002

Light water nuclear reactors provided to North Korea under a 1994 deal negotiated by the Clinton administration have the capacity to generate enough nuclear fuel to produce
almost 100 nuclear bombs per year, a 1999 congressional study warned.

The study was undertaken by the House North Korea Advisory Group, chaired by Rep. Benjamin A. Gilman, R-N.Y. Members of the panel included Rep. Doug Bereuter, R-Neb., then chairman of the Subcommittee on Asia and the Pacific, Rep. Porter J. Goss, R-Fla., chairman of Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, and Christopher Cox, R-Calif., then chairman of the Republican Policy Committee.

In its November 1999 report to the speaker of the House, the Advisory Group sounded the alarm about North Korea's nuclear weapons program, cautioning that the "Agreed Framework" that President Clinton had promised would derail Pyongyang's nuclear weapons program had backfired.

"Through the provision of two light water reactors [LWRs] under the 1994 Agreed Framework, the United States, through KEDO, will provide North Korea with the capacity to produce annually enough fissile material for nearly 100 nuclear bombs, should the Democratic People's Republic of Korea [DPRK] decide to violate the Nonproliferation Treaty [NPT]," the Advisory Group warned.

If you are referring to US and NK,
Exactly who declared the US a police state?
Exactly who declared the NK a criminal state?

and why?

What is a criminal state?
Be careful with your answer as both states would need to pass your definition test.

I'm not that concerned about NK having a nuke (in terms of using it) I am concerned that they might be desperate enough to sell a nuke to some militant group who doesn't give a damn about MAD.

Like I said, Morons... damn.

who else has hundreds of thousands of prisoners in concentration camps for things like listening to non state sanctioned music? Have millions and millions of their own people die from starvation even though there is international aid available?

US is not perfect but it does try, fighting world wars, giving lots of money, of course it has it's own interests, who doesn't. But at least it tries to do what it can. Just look at it's defeated enemies Germany and Japan, some of the world's largest economies and free societies, fool.

If you really can not see the difference between the US and NK then you really are an idiot.
