Falling used-car prices could hurt new sales, analyst warns

Low interest environment created a short term boom for the auto sector. They milked it for what it's worth. The new car market is now at capacity with total addressable market the lowest it's been for a while. Sign of a top for the auto stocks?

Probably so. Should look at Saab. They always seem to be way back of book.

A few months ago Motor Week reported on their test of mid-sized crossovers(?), or whatever class the Murano is in. Out of the 5 tested, all listing from $41-$45k, they liked the Murano best.... CVT and all.

A couple of friends had Saab's. Very lite weight vehicles, always waited for parts when in for repairs. The Nissan is much better, and so are many other brands.

SAAB was a specialty buy, they sold about 28k vehicles at their peak most of those sales in the Bay and Boston metro areas, people bought them for their safety, quirkiness and functionality. Their reliability, cost or parts availability does not compare to domestic, Japanese or Korean brands. They had the most educated customer profile of all brands.
