I guess you don’t see any distinction between the two stories.It's called a retraction, any professional publication worth its salt does it (you may not be used to it). These people have been getting paid by operatives to plant stories in the main stream media that subsequently make the media look bad when the truth inevitably comes out in follow up stories. Just another ploy in an attempt to discredit the free press.
