Fake Russians and Real News

Too busy roaming the brothels in the slumps of Manilla, you dirtbag!

Don't assume everyone spends their time roaming around brothels just because you do.

You post enough here. More then me. Wanna count posts?

Go ahead, I probably have less than a few hundred posts in off-topic section.

d08, do you support Rodrigo Duterte? (Yes or No) Please share your opinion. You share your opinion on the USA all of the time. Why can you not comment on the very country you list in your profile?

I am asking you to speak about the President of the Philippines.

RT, (Russia Today) is replete with fake news, and some of you guys eat it up, either directly or through your "trusted" ~news sources like zerohedge, etc., which have been known to post links and take the content seriously. Seriously? You'll now take your cues from Russian propagandists?

Has been "known" by whom? Fake news sources like NYT?

NYT, WAPO, CNN and MSNBC have been known to report the majority of the news that is determined to be fake news.

Interesting that the Washington Post recently had to retract two stories including the one about Russians hacking a utility in Vermont.

Fake news is really a mainstream media outlet problem. Simply because all of these outlets have an agenda and stretch/ignore the truth to select stories with minimal sourcing/evidence to spout their propaganda.

Sure, bro. Let's equate inadvertent reporting errors, followed by subsequent retractions, with outright and intentional misleading propaganda where the goons only double down.

Interesting that we call the mainstream Russian news outlets propaganda (according to the federal report) while the Russians call WashPo, CNN, MSNBC, NYT, etc. propaganda news outlets. It's like we are back in the cold war again.

BTW the Vermont utility computer "hacking" situation is hardly an inadvertent reporting error. The network security community (which I follow closely) stated from day 1 that this was not a Russian hacking problem. However the Washington Post deliberately ran with a fabricated story despite being told by experts beforehand that their story was completely nonfactual and incorrect.

Ran across this, it's brilliant.

But the Russians did it meme is one I rarely see lucidly examined. We all understand the necessity of private communications too well. Owing to the imposition of liberal social sacraments we all walk around in a sort of mass Truman Show. People play-act outwardly in order to remain economically viable, while speaking honestly only in the furtive company of confederates.

I can definitely relate to this paragraph.

I work very closely with a client who is over-the-top serious about all this, including the Russian thing.

Once this became clear a few weeks back (I remember the moment a cold chill fell in the room) I became determined they would NEVER know what I think about Trump, the Russians...NOTHING.

To amuse myself in an otherwise unpleasant environment, I go along with the jabber as we sometimes watch mainstream media at dinnertime.

I have to be careful not to go too over-the-top (think Onion newspaper) lest someone in the household starts to suspect my playacting.

Like yesterday, four agency heads appeared on the news affirming Russia really hacked ect. I was told that four witnesses like that was overwhelming and so it had to be true. I said yes, it was like the four gospels in the Bible. I augmented that by suggesting the agency heads rarely agree so completely on anything making the proof completely overwhelming (like in the four gospels). Then I threw in something about how Trump probably thinks he's smarter than the intelligence community (probably is) just to give bigots a bone to chew on.

I'm having so much fun I have to be careful to scale my outlandish rhetoric back a notch or two. It's so easy to say things people will immediately agree with.

When I think I can get away with it, I will challenge a bit. So when I'm told the hacking definitely affected the election, I mention how that question was asked of McCain and he said he did not know.

Or, when I'm told Tillman plans to profit from good relations with Putin, I find an article on how Hillary took in $145 million into her foundation in relation to Putin's uranium deal and voice how untrue that was, so we can lament together all the lies they tell about Hillary.

When asked directly what is my opinion in Tillman, I affirm I have no opinion and that the only opinion that matters is Senator Schumer when Tillman comes up for approval.

I've watched enough of "The Americans" TV series to feel assured nobody will ever suspect what I'm up to, disguised as I am as an American born custom carpenter.
