* he is a technician, with no future? does it mean that even if he wanted, in twenty years time he can't upgrade and become an engineer, let alone a manager?
* in any degree, he should have learned to think, to develop the skills to analyse things, he should have learned the skills to go forward. Why is he not starting to find out about personnal development?

and you know that exactly how? If we put every suspect on earth under 24/7/365 surveillance then we would have a global police state. I am sure you would be complaining then, too. I am not saying that known terrorists should not be put under constant surveillance. But in my opinion this is not a problem of the police. This is a problem of laws. A known terrorist should not even be INSIDE the country. They should strip him of any and all belongings (up to the value it will cost to transport him back) and send him back to his home country,

This case illustrates one thing: the police is not doing its job properly. It is not a question of 24/7/365 surveillance:
* in one EU country, when for those who thought it was important to ensure the safety of one area :
they asked all those under surveillance to report to a given police station, near their home, two times a day. In some cases of people who were assigned to not leave an area, to report more than five times a day.
Also, don't you find it interesting that ALL the terrorit attacks, they always leave their ID cards ?
