I beg to differ and I say it from experience.
I have not seen Al trade nor his accounts, but his teachings are the best out there by far. A prominent poster here, @NoDoji would vouch for him any day and she was pretty good herself.

There is a lot of skepticism for anyone who actually successfully trades AND teaches. I guess I understand some of the skepticism. There are those of us, however, who trade and teach. I am close to defending my PhD dissertation on the development of a black swan hedge and will be teaching college courses in the fall. I love to trade, and I love to teach.
If you are good at trading, I don't understand why it's necessary to use a paper account. Give me a break, people. I trade live in a private room every day in a live account. I show the good, the bad, and the ugly. When I make a mistake (and who doesn't) I gladly show it so others won't repeat my error. If you teach you should trade REAL money and accurately report all profits and losses. And I don't buy the bull that you don't trade a live account because you don't want to get sued for being an investment advisor. That's a pussy copout.
Trading is my passion, and it makes me feel good to share with others what I know and what I don't (and there's a lot that I don't). Learning is a lifelong endeavor, and I'm happy to still be on that path. Peace, all!

There are quite a few newbie traders who behave like trading Gurus too.
They simply want to teach, not learn.
If you try to correct their mistakes, they would be agitated.
They tend to have tunnel vision. They follow the trading
books/courses strictly. They take it as Gospel truth.
They obviously lack tons of experience.
The ET readers are smart. They don't LIKE these newbie Gurus.
