Except that up here in Canada, they also have access to a shit ton of services. Its the classic case of privatize profits and socialize losses.

Its no different than what I read about a long time ago with regards to low Walmart wages. These people have jobs, but not enough to survive on, so they need food stamps, at the cost of the taxpayer. So in essence, Walmart is collecting free government money because they can get away with paying less while the government makes up the difference.

Many illegal immigrants die on the journey, and they know this risk before they take it. But in the immigrant communities its very strong.

These folks at our Southern border are not there because their countries are kicking them out, they're here because they chose to leave, even knowing how difficult the journey would be. That speaks of their grit and determination. Should be exactly the kind of folks we want here --- not afraid of hard work, and determined! And by the way, the crime most illegal immigrants commit is overstaying their visas. Immigrants in general, whether legal or illegal, commit crimes where guns and/or violence is involved at a rates well below the rate at which citizens commit them. And all immigrants, legal or not, contribute to business profits and pay taxes!

Fake asylum seekers from our open “ biden border” is causing inflation. Who is paying for these Fake asylum seeker services? The American people. Cities and municipalities much raise state and local taxes or cut back on sevices meant for hardworking tax payers.. The inflation will only get worse and it will show up in the deficit hence higher bond yields.
Lets not even talk about the crime some of them are bringing; thats also an economic drain.

This seems a very weak argument that would not hold at all except for a few cities heavily impacted, and those communities will get federal help. The cost, at the margins, to you personally will be pennies. If anything, immigrants who work here legally or illegally will reduce price inflation.

Generally that is my observation in SoCal.

Here, most unwanted jobs are done by immigrants and most of them are not homeless and not on government welfare. Immigrant communities (little El Salvador, little Ethiopia, little Tokyo, China Town, Korea Town...) all have a strong social support system that helps them settle down and find gainful employments and without government handout.

It remind me of the previous generation of immigration waves, the Italian, Irish, Polish, Jewish... communities in NYC I visited years ago. In a way, the immigration stories is a continue story that sets this country apart from other countries and I suspect is the secret source of our strength. There will be exceptions and some leakage of bad apples but by and large like previous generations of immigrants, the net effect is very positive.

I read some old nineteen/twentieth century newspaper comments about Irish, Italian, German immigrants and similar anti immigrant statements were made of them then as is now against this new waves.
