There is nothing "Fair" about the Fairness Doctrine.
Liberal talk radio didn't survive for one simple reason - its content is already available in the mainstream media in the form of TV shows, newspapers, and the internet, whereas conservative talk radio has flourished because its viewpoints are not widely available for consumption in the mainstream media, with the exception of Fox.

The fairness doctrine will be brought back for 1 reason. To end conservative talk radio. It will force equal time be given for liberal shows which no one listens to. That will encourage the station owners to drop all talkies, thereby shutting down the opinion journalists of the right. It will have little influence on the MSM. It is anti free market. I believe if the MSM were more diverse, talk radio would not enjoy the success it does.
