Failed futures traders switching to equities

You should trade equities first, then move on to futures, not the other way around. The more leverage you use, the more likely you will blow up.

The obvious pros and cons of futures are already listed.
The main advantage trading stocks is you can achieve a much smoother equity curve since the correlation of your portfolio holdings can often be very low, also there are more opportunities if you can find them.

He's just another no-nothing adolescent, the likes of which are unfortunately taking over this forum. You could give hime 100 to one and he still wouldn't take you up on it. He probably couldn't shake out enough cash to buy a cheeseburger at McD's. So sad what this place has become. Barron's allowed what was once a tremendous trader's resource to turn into a mental asylum populated by multi-user looney tunes characters.
