That is SWOPPING speed when it is falling straight down, the problem said flying along.....this bird was not swooping to kill the car but flying along side.... at 60 mph??? I doubt it!

it makes sense. If the bird is going back and forth between the cars, it doens't matter where they are or how far appart they are. If the bird flies for 1 hour, it will travel 60 miles

THe bird only flys along side the car for a split second, why do you care about the distance between the cars, after an hour the bird will only travel 60 miles. Its not that complicated really.
