US style commercialism has spread around the world over the last 50 years. I suppose all things come to an end but it's ironic it should happen this way. No doubt it will be replaced by something much worse as countries get ever more desperate to survive. Mighty events quite often turn on something quite trivial. Your US Govt. better get a grip on the situation BEFORE the dollar becomes worthless.

And stop acting like a spineless jelly in spending cuts.
This is where democracy has it's greatest weakness imho. The pollies can't make unpopular but necessary decisions.

Sorry to be so blunt and rude about it but the seriousness of the situation calls for harsh words and action.

I wish I could say I have some confidence that things will soon be sorted but I haven't. Did not Samson pull down the temple upon himself ?
