I tried hard to be understanding, calm.... but my soon to be ex is beyond angry, saying she wants maximum maintenance/alimony.
Any advice? I got a very good lawyer. Concerned this may drag things out.
At least I'll be in Vegas soon
OMG!!! You are REALLY getting a divorce?? I thought it was a joke. SO sorry to hear about this. Well she must be really hurt if she's looking for maximum alimony. You've hurt her bad @KCalhoun with your ten thousand girlfriends. LOL You're gonna have to be prepared to pay especially from a financial point of view, she has no full-time job and is fully dependent on you for financial support and you are doing well in your business. The judge is for sure to order that plus 50/50 split over matrimonial properties.
Do you have any kids? If you don't, then it would be quicker. What drags the process the most is regarding the custody of the kids. If it's just money then just be more generous with your money if you don't want it to be dragged out for a longer time. Be vigilant but err a little on the generous side and the whole thing will be resolved quicker.
Just like in trading, focus on what's most important. Get plenty of sleep.

This is ridiculous. They can permit Rihanna touching herself in a public performance like Superbowl and they don't allow this? LOL
Figure out exactly what she is entitled to under the law of your jurisdiction. Offer it to her now in writing. Explain in the offer exactly how you calculated it. Then tell her that every time you or her talks with a lawyer she will lose 500 an hour or whatever each of you are paying the lawyers.
One thing I don't understand about his wife is how would she expect to get fair representation from their lawyer if it's her soon-to-be ex-husband who's paying for her lawyer. I mean if she wants to get her fair share, not that I am not on Ken's side, shouldn't she get her own lawyer instead of pestering Ken to pay for her lawyer?

Or you have a struggling company and you have to go to trade shows (in Vegas), to try and make a living. Shape it to your advantage...

In fact stranger things happen. A former manager of mine, ethnic Hungarian born in Romania moved to Japan and married a Brazilian woman. Turns out she was Japanese-Brazilian so yes, part Hispanic. Divorced now, btw

Sounds like she is still trying to please KC,+ stay married , if she really wanted ''max alimony'' she would get her own meanest lawyer she could find. Be as kind as you can, anyway.
