Inflation is real. Only idiots think there is no such thing. Cost of everything will continue to be high. Crude oil will go higher because of Joe Biden's policies against oil drilling and exploration. You still need to drill it and pump it out of the ground. Or import it from Saudi Arabia and it becomes more costly, with the huge shipping costs tacked on that crude oil you just imported. On top of that, regulators harassing the oil companies at the direction of Joe Biden for supposedly, price gouging? People will spend on food, rent, gas, medicine. Recreation would be at the bottom of priorities when everyone, except the filthy rich has limited monies to spend.
Yes. Most American are so poor to buy more from AMZN. We all saw retail figures. Not good.

I was reading through summaries of Exxon and Chevron earnings reports in the last few days. Both companies indicated they would normally pour the tens of billions in 2021 profit back into exploration and drilling and affiliated capex efforts, but not this time. They are significantly cutting back - citing the heavy political climate toward electric vehicles. From where they sit, why stockpile the stuff when it won't be needed? A lot of people aren't old enough to remember OPEC sitting around laughing at the US when they were keeping oil near $100 for the longest time and there was nothing we could do about it.
Not if but WHEN this happens, you know Joe will blame the oil companies again.
