Facebook interns probably make more than you
The highest-paid interns in the United States make more a month than the average American worker, especially if they work for a tech company, according to a new survey by Glassdoor. Facebook interns, for example, make a median of $8,000 a month. If they worked all year, thatwould amount to $96,000– almost double the median annual salary of $51,350 for a full-time worker in the United States.(Siliconbeat)

I think it's great when such companies as Facebook appreciate the work of interns more than others. Such things motivate to achieve good results.

This should be a warning - in the years leading up to the dot.com melt down you had the same sort of thing, interns and entry level employees making ludacris salaries, everybody flocking to the tech industry. Adds reading if you can spell the word 'server' or can push the on/off button your hired! - salary $100k+. A few years later these once highly paid interns were glad to get any job - even doing manual labor or working at Mc Donalds and hating the tech industry.
