I have also watched the same move. It never went to $30 after hittig $25.

Shortable at Scottrade. They are improving in that front at least.

No worries. It's short-able up to 2MM shares via the synthetic at a small vig ($0.20 per share thru July 20th).

IB says shares are temp unavailable to short till May 30 but when I put the order to short, it accepts the order.

You're trading at a more sophisticated level than I do. I simply go long/short stock on margin and occassionally trade puts/calls outright.

I've tried some of the more sophisticated stuff but it just didn't match up with my personality; I'm too easily spooked so I keep it simple. Thanx for trying to be helpful though.
