Extraordinary Popular Delusions & the Madness of ET

Call me whatever you want Emil, but I think Arthur is the one full of it !!!

Ptolemaically Aristotelian trading theories.

First here at ET it seems....but does anybody really know what they are ?

Smell of smoke and mirrors abound......

Yes Emil, I believe those arachnids fall into the category of sacrificial male, to be eaten by the larger she-market. They inhabit an expanding classification tree, and upon encountering a misclassification error (an observation known as a flaw), they perform a binary split and hop to another leaf, thinking they've seen this prey before.

Simply a good illustration of our Non-ExtraOrdinary popular delusions! :D

are you calling me delusional? :D stating i am learning would probably fall under the heading of being a realist. id say anyone who is stating they have already learnt might be deluding themselves :p

Hum, why is everyone trying to write like a 16th century English playwright?...like that one guy...huuuaaa, what was his dang-'ol name again? "Holy shit!! 'Tis the east, and..."

The most popular delusion on ET is clearly the Hershey 'paradigm'. With each passing day a new secret admirer comes forward. I wonder just how many are out there. His futures thread is on track to hit 1 million page views this year. And notice how no one dares challenge the method, they all have absolute faith in it. Its the spawn of a new religion.

Its called diagonalism. Those of us who have previously explored the gospel of diagonalism have come to understand the dangers of the false scriptures, both physical and emotional dangers.

Diagonal lines, much like Cassandre's breast, are meant to be glanced at only. The full on stare, or worse, a prolonged gawk can lead to physical and financial harm. Much like staring unblinkingly into the sun.

I owe my salvation to db, who at no small risk to himself, upon seeing the direction I was heading, reached through my monitor and cuffed me alongside the head. Through the ringing in my ears I heard a distant voice saying , "Watch the horizontals to find the truth..."

Diagonalism is spreading like a miasmic contagion. It infected NQ Friday, heretofore a bastion of stochastic randomness. I am ashamed to admit that I traded it. Worse willies, volume even looked "guasian". Maybe it will go away if we ignore it.

You would be forgotten the minute you stop posting...your delusion of importance, with your anoymous character, is a deception to yourself. All of you...

Quote from Arthur Deco:

I will here treat, with the greatest intellectual rigor tolerable and comprehensible to ET, Extraordinary Popular Delusions & the Madness of ET. As ET has an inexplicable habit of effacing erasing but not embracing critical thought, I shall not invest much effort in the task until it is clear that I will not be deleted. ET, it seems, has much difficulty distinguishing the mock serious from the seriously mock.

But to begin. Should we attempt to identify the greatest delusion on ET, can we all agree that it is the belief that one will be graced, merely for the begging, with a positive expectation trading system so simple that any undisciplined inexperienced inept fool can trade it? Why do those thus afflicted so sincerely believe that it is Christmas all year 'round on ET? My belief is that every such mendicant fancies himself the babe in the manger entitled to the adoration of all who read his hasty mewling ill-spelt posts. In short, they are entitled little snots. IF ever they get rich, they will be the sort who lease gaudy Mercedes and buy fake handicapped parking permits. Fortunately we have the newly resurrected (it is approaching that season) Jack Hershey to guide them to the land of milk and honey.

But there be greater fools here: those who vainly counsel that no published system can possibly work, and that all working systems were developed at such high cost in ego and geld to their owners that they are more priceless than firstborn children, and are therefore privately held. If on the non I find this thread intact, I shall continue.
