What exactly are Pressure cooker bombs?

A pressure cooker filled with BB's and a block of dry ice?

The police claim they found the detonator... Probably triggered a heat source.. maybe a exothermic chemical reaction or possibly a magnetic inductive heating coil.

The simplicity and portability of these incendiary devices is scary.

The copy cats will surely follow... So how can we police/detect/prevent this?
