Explorer problem and Unscannable Area

I have found a folder which when accessed by any program causes explorer to crash. I cannot delete it or get rid of it. Any ideas how I can get rid of this pos?

Also when scanning my HD with Space Monger I have found a massive area that reads as unscannable. Any ideas what this could be ?

Try these.

1) The best way to delete the folder is to do it in DOS with the deltree command. (get to dos with start-run-cmd)

2) Try booting in to safe mode and removing it there

I'm not familar with Space Monger but it should have a legend for this data. It could be sectors that have been marked as bad or just fragmentation.
