Explanation of this Cable upsurge?

I can't understand why it is going up.

My charts say consolidation but I did not see a 150pip rally?

I want to get in early next time!

I'm pretty sure it was mainly the higher than expected CPI print. Add to that the fact that the long gilt auction was quite strong and it's all bullish for cable.
