what a crock of nonsense! what planet are you living on if you don't believe inflation is above 2% per annum? Either the government is lying about inflation or is incompetent how to measure inflation.

lol you confused yourself... 'don't believe' was the opposite.

anyway - sure CPI is always manipulated.. but in this case it's actually working out, sort of.

the point of the 2% inflation target is to avoid the deflation death spiral... so if the actual is slightly higher then it is achieving the original purpose lol.

in any case... you can't fight them, gotta join them... gotta invest in assets.
 
Believing in a deflationary death spiral is for the Left Wingers who falsely believe that inflation which extinguishes the valued of debts owed helps the poor. It is a false premise because the cost of living increases and shortage of goods follows.

'what planet' is negative 1, 'dont believe' is neg 2, so double negative = affirmative of 'above 2%'

but anyway - yes that is the intended target and the intended purpose.. and so far we've had 10 good years.

sure boom and bust cycles do exist, but they do regardless what the banking system is.... gold anchored, private banks, or central banks.... as matter of fact the proven failures of the former 2 was the reason that we have the Fed today.
