Explain todays massive rally eod

The rally in 2008 last for more than 3-4 months, if you are decent smart, you should make ton of money to ride it up, and ride it down after that.
The worst part of trading is that you know you are in wrong side, but become defensive and keep on holding the loser.
Should is the operative word, but everyone is full of "woulda, coulda, shoulda's".
If you were trading it, you would know that there were many, many whipsaw moves based on rumors and innuendo. Sharp "flagpole rallies" like we've seen this week, only to be followed by 6-8% down days. Oil collapsed from $147 to $38 in a matter of months and all I saw were guys going long the entire way lower.
I stand by what I said above. There is a reason why ET is a shell of its former self and that's because the vast majority of its readers never made it thru 2009.
You "all" is a bit extreme. Some of us nailed it, but most didn't brag to my knowledge.
