Explain the psychology of the vermin that smoke

Tens of millions of kids grew up around smoking parents with no ill effects. Back in the day it was not uncommon for pregnant women to smoke (and drink). Not ideal but generally no harm done.

I smoke the occasional cigar on my back porch, but otherwise don't smoke. So I'm not an addictd smoker trying to justify my habit. It's just that we are seeing that all this hysteria about "second hand " smoke or third hand smoke , etc is more liberal nonsense designed to scare us by dubious science. Kind of like the mania for organic, ie grown in poop, food. No scientific proof that it is better for you, but lots of money to be made peddling it.

Smoking aroudn others is annoying and rude, but it's not likely to affect their health.

I think it's the same psyche that leads to gmo salmon (extermination of all natural salmon) or fracking (toxifing the water supply). The only differences is that the "Vermins" you describes kill themselves... not a whole community...
 
Look, smoking is like a little pill that calms your nerves, some people get stressed while others give stress. America went to hell after they took smoking areas out of high schools. It's quite odd that even the sight of smoking sends non smokers into religious like hysteria, so ecigs need to be outlawed but marijuana needs to be legalized:confused:, the only party odder than democrats is republicans- smoke em if ya got em :p

I have nothing against smoking or smokers IF

1) they pay for their own lung cancer treatments

2) they keep their smoke totally away from ANY bystander. At all times.

99.99999999 of smokers fail on both of the above
