Thank you for the obvious statement that there is a buyer for every seller, brilliant!happens all the time, that's how it works. I programmed matching for clearing house. The only time a sell gets filled is thru a buyer (bid). Although you may not see it, for every matched sell there is a buyer.
If there is no bid it means no one has placed a bid. It does not mean no one is willing to buy, which you are saying. If I place an offer, then it's instantly visible to any and all potential buyers. It's very likely, almost certain in fact if you're offering to sell for less than intrinsic value, that a buyer will materialize and hit your offer.
If you disagree then I offer you the following challenge: post an offer at less than intrinsic value by at least enough to cove commissions and post the option here. I will personally go hit your offer if no-one else has by the time I read it. And I'll do it every time no matter how many times you offer. Like I said, it's free money for me and anyone else who sees the opportunity.
