exGOPer admits that a President has no requirement to follow recommendations of his Cabinet secretaries and can issue final decisions without need of their inputs.

So according to exGOPer's correct interpretation of the Constitution, Trump had the authority to fire Comey, and Trump also has the Constitutional authority to end the Mueller probe at any time of his choosing. Nicely done exGOPer, I guess the broken clock saying, is correct.

When did I say that the President doesn't have the power to make those decisions? Nobody questioned his authority to do it - what was questioned was his motives which was to obstruct justice and impede the law and not President is above the law, try reading the constitution you think you know.

Comey is a bad guy. That is clearly shown in the IG report. Are you trying to rewrite history again?

They question isnt whether Comey should have been fired or not, the question is, what took Trump so long?

So was Flynn - who is under a criminal investigation, who was forced to be fired and is now seeking to cut a deal with Mueller. Trump tried to end the investigation into Flynn's criminal activities - what would you call that?

I don't care if Comey was a bad guy, justice system doesn't work based on whataboutism.
