Exchange fees question

I am assuming that each firm is responsible for paying exchange data fees for each trader. If we subscribe to a secondary data source are we required to pay the exchange data fees twice?

Thanks

That depends on your quote provider and firm. If they work together, they can submit paperwork to most of the exchanges that will allow you to pay the fees only once.

cme market data policy

CME's market data policy has been liberalized recently so that an entity distributing only electronic (GLOBEX) market data incorporated with an order routing system is not required to become a CME certified market data distributer. As a result, if you develop to this interface for trading purposes only, you are not required to count and report the number of people to whom you distribute the GLOBEX market data, nor must you collect separate GLOBEX market data fees from end users of order entry terminals.
