Excerpts From the (1400 page) ACD Method Thread (Mark Fisher)

Wrong! It shows ads especially when you are not logged-in. And logged-in users get even personalized ads, ie. that's even worser... :)
Conclusion: it always shows ads, sometimes even 3 ads at once! Google has become greedy AHs.
Google hasn't completely stopped ad blockers in YouTube yet.
In chrome or edge browsers,
https://chrome.google.com/webstore
Search for
Adblock for Youtube
and install it.

If YouTube tells you ad blockers aren't allowed, you can remove cookies from youtube and refresh the page.

I've an adblocker named "privoxy" in Linux, but it unfortunately no more filters ads at YT. Hadn't time to investigate it. So, I unfortunately get the YT ads. I always MUTE the ad crap till it ends :-)

Dude, are you still stuck in the 90s or what? Go get yourself a damn ad-blocker! :banghead: :D

You have a nice X-mas as well.

So you do use an adblocker after all. The best way to bypass these annoying ads is to use adblockers in Incognito mode (if you're running Chromium-based browsers). BTW you first need to go into the "manage extension" and enable "allow in incognito" option, otherwise it won't work.

Quanto is itself an ad. Maybe you should use an ad blocker on him, hahah

I just tried it out in Incognito mode (called "Private mode" in my Opera, which is Chromium-based), but unfortunately it still brings the ads at YT :vomit:
OTOH at other sites the blocking works fine... Funny...

And I bet you signed into your account, which would totally defeat the purpose of using the "private" mode. If you didn't sign in and you're still stuck with ads, try installing UBlock Origin extension.

No, I of course was not signed-in b/c since years I don't have a YT acct anymore as I don't want to be surveillanced by them and trashed with personalized shit ads...
I'm boycotting all companies on purpose which attempt to trash me with such dirt ads :)

  • Can I somehow check if uBO's filters are up to date?
    • Certainly! Please visit https://drhyperion451.github.io/does-uBO-bypass-yt/. If it's green, the ID matches, which means the filters were updated already for the latest script. If it's red, it means we're either still working on a fix or the latest script didn't defeat our current filters. No match does not mean you will get detected. You only might, that's it.
