Ewj: elliott wave

Quote from Landis82

You read my mind Mup.

Must be all those screen time hours .....& we remember the good old days with the mischief "they" like to play....:) ))

Is that a New low of the ALT.... :D

Got out end of day. I would like to stay short but... new Treasury plans, so these news items make it too much of gamble. I have no way of using EW wave here with any confidence. I'm still a bear, but how can I time this bear with these announcements? Maybe I'm just too hesitant as a noob and I'm missing some gains, but I'm out until Treasury shows it hand.

The third of the third of the third wave should be a strong wave, else we have to reconsider  .
There may be Wave 5)3.3:5v DOWN to the Line of 76.4% Retracement around 780 :) ,
before a significant rebound :D ,
after which the 740 level may be re-test

Ed, which way are you leaning? A flat and currently in wave B or the beginning of wave 5 down?

If you are leaning towards the flat, what price action would negate that theory? Would you be looking for lots of support at 735.46?

And most importantly, how could we trade this? If we suspect a flat, would you limit in at 735.46, or wait for confirmation and a break above a previous bar?

I'm having trouble using EW in the now as a trading vehicle. It works great in hind sight, but I need get a grasp of how to use the probabilities of the counts to determine position direction, targets, and stops.
