Ewj: elliott wave

We are consolidating above elovemer's 50sma :) .
elovemer's next bigger upside target which is 100sma = 1017.14 is near ed's 1.000 c-wave target which is 1012.30 :D .

.... whether wave 3 is complete ... or maybe wave 5 .....
..... either way .... we should stay on top of the structure of this correction....
... on daily chart....
....this 3rd push was the trick to get thru the 50 sma .....
....for me .... the next bigger upside target is 100sma
.... don't like to try to predict.... but we most likely may need to consolidate above the 50sma before moving higher....

Coming up on the 50% retracement of 857 - 844 around the 900-901 area.
61.8% comes thru around 890 SPX

...... I think there may be some more correction to SPX 920 or 900 level as an "M" or sHs pattern :) ....

Because the supposed wave iv was too small.
There may be another measured move DOWN below 900 :) .
Watch for a new today's low for a Sell signal :D .
Note:
Crude Oil DOWN again  .
Edit:
It's too late :( . They should have done it one year ago  .

Third wave of fifth wave and today's new low :) .

Alone in the dark  .

Edit 01-09-09 01:42 AM
Wave five can be the shortest wave and end in wave three territory.
So Landis' target at 890 and elovemer's 50sma at 887 may hold :) .

The market appears to have a small "bid" in it in the last 30 minutes of the session, with the SPX trading back above unchanged.

Intra-day low was 896.81

Could we get a reaction to tomorrow's Unemployment number that will force a "re-test" of today' low?

Very possible.

Hi guys, I have been lurking and learning. Thanks for your posts.

I just labeled the Euro forex chart. Could anyone tell me if my simple 5-wave labeling on the chart is correct? TIA.

Another question here: Some EW analysts believe that markets exhibit a useful Elliott wave pattern about 50% of the time. What do you think about this comment?

I did another Euro forex daily chart, and also hope to have your comments.

According to my labeling, wave 3 on the chart is a very long one, wave 5 is a very short one (wave five failure) and now the price is moving in abc waves. Could someone give me your opinion on my labeling? I hope someone also follows forex here.

Thanks in advance!

The 1-2-3 could be count as a-b-c.
The wave five failure should have five subwaves, there is not enough data to make a decision :( .
If wave a had five subwaves, wave b may be incomplete.
If wave a had three subwaves, and wave c = wave a, wave a-b-c may be to long.
So wave b may be incomplete :) .

Wave 2 should be move to the left to make wave 3 a five.
The blank wave could not be wave 3 because it would make wave 3 the shortest wave.
Wave 5 could not be wave 3 because there would be one extra wave.
No comment for the second question :D .
Please don't comment my comment because there are a infinite numbers of possibilities.
