This most recent break to new lows at 10:13am EST. is coming from crude selling off $2.00 and taking the energy and oil service complex with it. For example, Chevron (CVX) just shedded 5% from the first half-hour highs.

Oil inventory numbers come out at 11am EST. today.

SPX traded down to the 881 handle.
884.46 is .786% retracement of the previous really.

Oil inventories unexpectedly +5.6 mm barrels and gasoline +6.9 mm barrels.
Crude -$5.20 to 69.30 now.

Market gets pushed down to 866 SPX on the break in energy shares.

Elo,

I believe there is still room for more downside, but I just cannot fit in any satisfying count in the hourly or daily chart...

And given the extreme volatility, I am focusing on very short-term intraday movements....

I thoroughly enjoyed the ride down and up this morning.....
