Ewj: elliott wave

Quote from Landis82:

Can't wait for another leg down if that is in fact the accurate count!

:)

I'm not betting on it though....:D

On days like this with so much volatility and volume, my charts and even the exchange data goes haywire......

So I'm staying out of the market until there is clarity.....:)

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Agree a wave 5 is possable and it would be nice for us who perfer trading on the short side..:)

However most EW'er are expecting one..

So I'm tending to look at other options just in case the hurd is wrong... Completed w-x-y would catch a few out as Mu also hints at...

Just something to watch out for....

Handy that EW :D :D

I wonder if any other thread had the moves mapped out before it happend  :) )

AIG falling apart after-hours taking the S&P's down HARD!!!

rumors of Treasury putting AIG under a conservatorship, so says Bloomberg news:

http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=aoDoJ.oaTv7Y&refer=home

However, I do not believe that there is any LEGAL legislation that is currently on the books that would allow a Federal bail-out of AIG.

Besides, the amount of assets at AIG is LESS THAN the "bridge" loan needed.

Maybe Wave 4 ended at 1213 SPX on the close today!

Does need to clear the 1222 area in order to rule out another leg down...

Can you guys post a chart of the wave 4 your looking at so I can see what degree your working on ... :)

This pattern would drive people nuts, going into the Key time window of just before the election (31st-7th)

An ED (c) wave ....

120 min SPX

Mup,

I'm just talking out of my arse about a "wave 4".
(having a pint of Guinness too!)

But several people here have been postulating about one, I believe.

:)

:D Enjoy the guinness :D

I'm seeing overlaps every where( as usual ) :) )

So a double or triple 3 wave "I" of an ED C wave does have a far cleaner "fit" at the moment, with the old school count style of mine..

....well.... looking at the futures now, it's pretty clear yesterday's move was corrective....... :D

Wondering what other tricks will Paulson and Bernanke pull out next......

I am looking at the worst case scenario in the SPX 60min chart, that wave 1 down started from early sep...

Wave iv could go as low to about 1156 before a wave 4 rebound....
