Ewj: elliott wave

Hi QuangViet

Its basically the same count ....

The Impluse counters (1,2, i,ii,iii) are seeing an up moved needed into the lesser wave iv before a final v to complete the larger 3...
This count does niggle me, mainly because everyone is leaning on it , even more so when EWI has it.

Also If you take a close look at the Price ation On FED day ie 5 or 15min time frame, (with spike filter off) the pattern clearly fits a triangle. Triangles can not form as a wave 2 so that kind of messes up the impluse count...???

The corretive triple pattern option shows a move need into a possalble x-x before moving down in to the final z wave to complete the larger A.

We also have to be aware of the possablity that we've finished a Double 3 (A) wave pattern and we may get a larger move back up as part of a (B).. This would catch the most EW Traders off guard.

I've put all the scribbles on a daily SPX...Messy I know, but hopefully it makes some sort of sence...? :)

@mup, full agreed with you.

i have also same view as you, with different case scenario. it was just mention, that i favor this case first (a or 1, then b or 2)

important and main thing is to know where market heading next

I misunderstood your time frame...

I now see where your coming from now when you say impluse.... Its of the larger time frame, not the lesser 60min I was on about ...:D

Impluse as in the market structure off the 19th of May High as an a or 1...:)

Daily SPX :)

Is that link out to your own TA website ??

Mup,

A picture speaks a thousand words. Thanks for that chart.

I share the same view with QuangViet and you, except that I tend to think the wave down off the 19th May is a 1 instead of A.

This 1 down seems complete and yesterday's close marked the start of the 2 imho.

Still learning though.....

If your counting the move of the May 19th as either a wave 1 (or a 5 wave "a") it really needs another low to complete the wave (3) of that 5 wave move before we can have a 2 or b...

120min SPX with the 1,2,3 count to keep it simple rather than the more hardcore triple 3 wave pattern :D

OIH...
Did we just have a 228 area throw over this moring ?? :D

I was just thinking the SAME thing Mup!

Great Call . . . let's see how it pans out now. Needs to NOT fall back under 225 in order to remain bullish. If it comes back into the "range" we will have to closely monitor this for severe decline potential.

:)

You are right. I counted the wave (2) wrongly. Thanks for the correction. I appreciate it!

:)

:)

might not be right sg, just going off some of the most logical pattern counts....

If you have a chart, stick a count up... :)
Its far easier to see were people are coming from and what counting style people use...

I tend to count in a classic Frost and Bolton style, Mu, Elo & QuangViet seem to have more of an upto date Neely & Prechter style... Not sure on Landis not seen many Charts :))) though his ratios are old school :D
