Ewj: elliott wave

I'd be watching for a first or second 15min trap bar as well elo..

On the weekly 861 area has a few fib pressure points..

On a sad note I learn of the passing of Dominic Mazza aka SPwaver due to a heart attack.

He ran the Tradingthecharts EW site. He was a fine guy who helped a lot of people. Sad loss to the EW community.

....declined to 78% retrace of wave 1 ... of year '02 ... on SPY

....losing some serious volatility when the 10min bars have less than 40 point range.... ;)

The most interesting aspect of this ‘crash’ is it’s nature - ‘a slow motion, controlled crash’.

Market multiples have expanded over the past decade (since LTCM debacle) through leverage expansion, not through increases in productivity of labour or capital. As the primary investors in this market deleverage it would certainly not be in their interest to let this market get out of their control ie. trading halts and market shut down. We are now back to levels of approximate fair market value relative to long term low risk fixed income returns - which is where we should have been without the excess leverage of the past decade or so - but it has been a great ride!!

....as said many times before...
...today is october 11 (saturday)

.... the date of the last highs one year ago
... as well as the date of the low of '02
...hence... a very significant date

As elo points out on the dates

Quote from Mup:

144 cally days & the 6 year anniversary from the 02 low on the 10th Oct (2192 days) to name a few..

As Mike points out for the Gann* fans :D

*Gann like solar degree time counts for anniversary dates.

If you count by solar then the key count of 2160 was yesterday on the 8th....

Trouble is I carn't get a soild finishing wave set going into this key date..
Can get lesser wave counts to complete today for a small corrective wave back up but not the larger finishing count.

Plus by counting by solar degrees the date has already past due to the extra solar leap days in 04 & 08.
